FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General

A visa run is a quick trip outside of Vietnam to renew or activate a new visa. You leave Vietnam, cross the border (usually into Laos), and then re-enter with a new visa or visa exemption. The process is handled in one day with support to ensure everything goes smoothly.

The visa run is a one-day trip, and you will return to Da Nang the same day.

There are two departure options:

Early Departure: ~6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
👉 Recommended for visa exemption cases or special situations that require more processing time.

Late Departure: ~7:00 AM to 9:00 PM
👉 A more relaxed option, suitable for eVisa processing at the border, with sufficient time for all procedures.

Travel time may vary slightly depending on traffic and border processing, but both options are designed to complete everything within the same day.

The trip goes from Da Nang to the Laos border (Lao Bao border crossing). This is one of the most convenient and commonly used border gates for visa runs in Central Vietnam.

• Early morning pickup and departure from Da Nang
• Travel by limousine bus to the Laos border
• Exit Vietnam and complete Laos entry/exit procedures
• Re-enter Vietnam with your new visa or visa exemption
• Return to Da Nang in the evening

👉 Throughout the trip, staff assist you step-by-step to ensure a smooth, hassle-free experience.

Visas & Rules

After the visa run, you will enter Vietnam with either a visa exemption (if your nationality is eligible) or a Vietnam eVisa, depending on what you apply for in advance. The type of visa you receive determines how long you can stay in Vietnam.

There is no strict limit on how many visa runs you can do.

👉 Yes, in most cases:
• If you are using an eVisa, it must be applied for in advance
👉 The final approval/activation happens at the border during the visa run, where we assist you through the process
• If you are eligible for visa exemption, you do not need to apply in advance

We can assist you in checking and preparing everything before departure.

Yes, if your nationality qualifies for visa exemption, you can choose between:
Visa exemption – shorter stay (commonly 15–45 days depending on nationality)
eVisa – longer stay (up to 90 days, single or multiple entry)

👉 Choosing the right option depends on how long you want to stay and your travel plans.

If your eVisa contains incorrect information (such as name, passport number, or dates), it may be rejected at the border.

Our team is there to support you throughout the process. If any issue arises, we assist you directly at the border and work with immigration officers to resolve it as quickly as possible.
